Bob Kosse

Hi, 👋 my name is Bob

"What do you actually do?" is a question I hear often. That's why I created a page where I can explain it in a clear story. Or so I think.

I combine my knowledge of software development, accessibility, and agile working to create tailored solutions for my clients. Clients indeed, because what I do, I do from my own businesses. As an entrepreneur.

Accessibility

Sorry, I don't understand you đŸĻģ

A sentence I often say: "Sorry, I don't understand you". I have been hard of hearing since I was young. This has allowed me to see accessibility challenges at many clients.

My grandmother used to be in a wheelchair. From a young age, I learned to see where barriers exist. Barriers that I remove with the ToegankelijkheidsFabriek. I do this with workshops where participants experience what it's like to live with a disability, and with my service ImpactFlow.

My mission is to help organizations become more accessible and inclusive. Not just on paper, but with proven results. Accessibility and inclusion are not just costs, but have a clear Return on Investment.

Agile

Teams where everyone feels at home 🌈

Autonomy is the number one driver of innovation and progress. As an Agile coach and Scrum master, I help companies to truly collaborate in teams. This increases results and makes employees happier. It's logical that absenteeism and turnover decrease as a result!

By now, I can call myself 'senior' in this field. With experience at companies such as XS4ALL, Solera / MarketScan, De Persgroep, T-Mobile, Vodafone/Ziggo, Alliander, and CIZ, I have helped many teams move forward. I have seen what works and what doesn't in practice.

Apart from practice, I also maintain my theoretical knowledge. Through Scrum.org, I am PSM-I, PSM-II, and PAL-I certified. Additionally, I am an OKR Certified Professional via OKRMentors.

Software Development

Call me a nerd, my friends do too 🤓

From a young age, I have been working with computers. Not playing games, but writing code. At 17, I had my first client: a driving school that needed software to keep track of driving lessons. That was the moment my hobby turned into a profession.

Eventually, I was 25 when I really took the step into entrepreneurship. Starting with website development, but soon moving on to web applications.

I have worked on various projects, including for Kleertjes.com, KPN, Simyo, Sannd, and Asics.

Just like the clients, the assignments were very diverse. From developing ERP/e-commerce systems to GPS-controlled apps and integrations between PIM systems. No idea what this jargon means? Just assume I have contributed to a wide range of different solutions.

My Book

SOPHIA, the wisdom of agile organizations 📚

Everyone gets that feeling at some point in life of wanting to write a book. Well, I don't know if that's really true for everyone, but it was for me. I had gained so much experience with Agile working and saw a lack of practical explanation for smaller businesses. Businesses that couldn't afford expensive consulting firms, but could still gain a lot from what Agile has to offer. That's how SOPHIA came to life.
